Craig Conway Named Executive Chairman of Guidewire Software Board of Directors

Guidewire Software®, a leading provider of flexible core systems to property/casualty insurers, today announced that former PeopleSoft president and CEO Craig A. Conway has been appointed to the Guidewire Software  Board of Directors as its executive chairman.

With an already distinguished career in the technology industry Craig joined PeopleSoft in 1999, and led the company on one of the most dramatic turnarounds in the technology industry. Under his leadership, PeopleSoft became the world’s second-largest provider of business software, and in 2002 Fortune magazine named PeopleSoft the “Second Most Admired Company”, and Forbes magazine named PeopleSoft one of “Five Overachieving Companies”. 

In addition to being recognized as one of the “Top 25 Managers” by BusinessWeek, Craig has also been named one of the “Ten Most Influential People in Technology” by Computer Business Review and one of the “Fifty Most Powerful People in Networking” by NetworkWorld.  

Prior to PeopleSoft, Craig served as president and CEO of TGV Software and One Touch Systems.  He has also held executive management positions at a variety of leading technology companies including executive vice president at Oracle Corporation. Today Craig serves on the boards of several companies including Salesforce.com, AMD, and eMeter.  Craig is a cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at Brockport, where he received B.S. degrees in mathematics and computer science.
