Aviva UK Selects Guidewire for Rating, Underwriting, Policy Administration and Claims Management for Its UK General Insurance Business

Guidewire PolicyCenter® and Guidewire ClaimCenter® to help the largest general insurer in the UK increase its business agility and speed to market while enhancing customer and agent experience

LONDON & SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jun. 29, 2012-- Guidewire Software, Inc. (NYSE:GWRE), a provider of flexible core system software to general (Property/Casualty) insurers, today announced that Aviva, the largest general insurer in the UK, has selected Guidewire PolicyCenter® as its new underwriting and policy administration solution and Guidewire ClaimCenter® as its new claims management system for its core UK Commercial Lines business. Aviva UK will also be leveraging PolicyCenter for rating and reinsurance management.

Aviva sought to replace its existing claims and policy systems with one cohesive platform that would help streamline its underwriting, policy administration, and claims management operations for its UK general insurance operations. Aviva was looking to increase its business agility and bring new products to market more quickly to help it meet its IT and business goals.
