Guidewire Insurance Forum 2014 Celebrates Customer Success in European General Insurance Market

More than 140 attendees gather to share experiences and best practices during one-day forum

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 9, 2014-- Guidewire Software, Inc. (NYSE:GWRE), a provider of software products to general (Property/Casualty) insurers, recently held its Insurance Forum 2014 in London. The Guidewire Insurance Forum 2014 brought together thought leaders from the European general insurance market to share best practices, collaborate with their industry peers, and engage with the Guidewire team.

This event, now in its fourth year, focused on empowering the customer journey. Insurance Forum 2014 attendees heard from leading European insurers about their experiences tackling complex core system transformation projects and delivering a rich customer experience. They also received the latest updates on Guidewire products, and exchanged ideas about the possibilities provided by today’s modern systems.

Insurance Forum 2014 kicked off by highlighting Guidewire’s global customers and the impact they’re having in their communities. Keith Stonell, managing director, EMEA, Guidewire Software, provided an update on the company's growing momentum across Europe over the past two years and shared Guidewire’s mission to serve the global general (P/C) insurance industry in its transformation. While there were several additional Guidewire presenters, the focus of the day was on Guidewire customers and the customers they serve.

Four European Guidewire customers presented on stage at the event:

• Allianz UK: Evandro Manolas, IT claims manager, and Jenny Steyn, business systems manager, provided their perspective on bringing together business and IT teams and introducing agile processes into their organization.
• LV=: Graham Lee, business change portfolio manager, Broker and Claims, and Toby Harris, CIO portfolio manager, Broker and Claims, shared how LV= built the business case for transformation and the successes this has delivered. In addition, LV= showed how Guidewire solutions have enabled them to respond rapidly to recent flooding in the UK and better serve their customers.
• PZU Group: Barbara Smalska, a member of the Management Board at PZU Group, presented a case study about how PZU is completing the largest business transformation in its history.
• Tinkoff Online Insurance: Chief Operating Officer Fedor Voronin reminded attendees that the digital age offers many opportunities for modern insurers ready to reinvent insurance in their market with the story of Tinkoff Online Insurance’s five-month implementation success and rapid time to value.
