Guild Insurance Deploys Guidewire ClaimCenter in First Phase of Core Insurance System Modernisation
Guidewire Insurance Suite to help Australian insurer transform and standardise customer-centric business model
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA and SAN MATEO, Calif., May 28, 2009:
Guild Insurance Limited, one of Australia’s pre-eminent suppliers of general insurance products and services to niche markets, and Guidewire Software®, a leading global provider of solutions to general insurance and workers compensation companies, today announced that Guild Insurance has deployed Guidewire ClaimCenter® for its workers’ compensation line of business. Guild continues the ClaimCenter implementation through the development of all other lines of business. Upon completion of ClaimCenter, Guild will move to the next phase of its core system modernisation project, implementing Guidewire BillingCenter® and Guidewire PolicyCenter®.
“We selected Guidewire as our strategic business partner to help us modernize and transform our core insurance operations in line with our strategic vision,” said David Brown, General Manager, Guild Insurance. “We have completed the first leg of our journey and feel confident in our selection and path forward.”
With ClaimCenter, Guild has gained the ability to:
- Transact its claims handling business with technology supporting desired processes;
- Capture claim data once for long term efficiency gains over the life of the claim;
- Systemise and standardise claims handling processes to efficiently and accurately run its business and comply with changing regulatory requirements; and
- Monitor team workloads online – redistributing claims accordingly.
“We are already realizing benefits with ClaimCenter,” said Kim Taylor, Process Re-engineering Manager, Guild Insurance. “ClaimCenter is very intuitive, so newly hired staff pick it up very quickly. We also have much greater visibility into our claims operations which will enable us to further refine our processes over time to best serve our customers.”
“Simplifying our IT architecture was a key objective of our modernisation plan,” said Robert Tepe, Chief Information Officer, Guild Group. “Guidewire ClaimCenter has met our high expectations on flexible configuration in combination with a robust architecture, making it an ideal technology foundation to serve the needs of our insurance business and their customers.”
“We congratulate Guild on reaching this exciting milestone in their core system modernisation project,” said Keith Pfeiffer, General Manager, Australia and New Zealand, Guidewire Software. “Guild have made great progress and will be able to leverage the skills they’ve acquired and methodologies they’ve implemented as they continue to rollout additional phases of the project.”
