London Gathering of Guidewire Community Draws more than 60 Attendees Representing Guidewire\'s UK Customers

Guidewire Insurance Forum showcases Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter to UK general insurance market

LONDON, July 9, 2010:

Guidewire Software®, a leading provider of flexible core systems to general insurers, has concluded its first UK Insurance Forum in London. The full- day event included best practice and knowledge sharing among the company’s customers, prospective customers, and Guidewire personnel. Teams from each of Guidewire’s 7 UK customers were in attendance, including: Beazley, Homeserve, LV=, NFU Mutual, QBE Europe, and Towergate.  

The forum was kicked off by John Raguin, Guidewire’s chief executive officer. The program included a full day of presentations, including a discussion challenging the way in which insurers think about business cases. The program offered demonstrations and case study presentations with Guidewire carrier clients sharing their experiences.  Highlights included:

• Demonstrations of Guidewire’s PolicyCenter and BillingCenter solutions to a broad UK audience. With the success of Guidewire’s flagship product, ClaimCenter in the UK, customers and other insurers are showing increased interest in learning about these additional Guidewire applications;
• Product demonstration scenarios showcasing solutions for: MOJ, Credit Hire, and Fraud;
• Customer success stories – several Guidewire customers presented case studies on their implementations. One customer remarked that, “The project went as planned, and we delivered on time and on budget. There were no bad “surprises” during the project. In fact, during the entire 10 month implementation we only discovered one bug with the system, which turned out not to be a bug in Guidewire’s product but rather was due to the configuration of our database.  When we modified the configuration, the “bug” went away.”
